Pro feature
Sell on invoice, without losing track of who owes what
Trade customers expect to be invoiced, not to hand over a card. That only works if the ledger behind it is airtight.
How it works
- 1
Give the account a limit
Set a credit limit and payment terms per company — net 30 by default, or whatever you have agreed.
- 2
They check out on account
The net-terms gateway appears only for accounts that have one and only while the order fits inside the remaining credit.
- 3
You fulfil, they owe
The order moves to processing and the ledger is debited. Outstanding balance is the ledger, not a payment date guess.
- 4
Reminders, then a statement
Overdue reminders go out on the cadence you set, once per stage, and each company gets a monthly statement of what is open.
Why the ledger design matters
-
The balance is never stored
It is the sum of an append-only ledger, computed in a single query. Nothing can drift out of sync, because there is no second copy to drift.
-
Every entry is a signed delta
Debits add, credits and refunds subtract, adjustments are recorded as entered with your note. Reconciliation is exact by construction.
-
Idempotent by order and refund
A double-fired hook or a retried request cannot debit the same order twice. Ledger rows cannot be deleted, only offset.
-
Classic, blocks and order-pay
The gateway is a real WooCommerce gateway and works in all three, with no build step needed for the block integration.
-
Correct under a currency switcher
Limits and the ledger stay in your base currency and order totals are converted back to it before they are compared or recorded.
-
Statements and reminders on Action Scheduler
The money-critical jobs run through WooCommerce’s own queue — retried on failure, visible in the scheduler, cancelled cleanly on uninstall.

Outstanding is a fact, not an estimate
Plenty of implementations infer who owes what from an order’s paid date. That breaks the moment you take a partial payment, issue a credit note, or fulfil before payment — which is the entire point of net terms. Here the ledger is the source of truth and the order status is just an order status.
Net terms are in Pro.
Together with company accounts and spend limits, this is the part of B2B most WooCommerce stores end up building by hand.
