Importing from another plugin

The importer is in the free plugin. You can migrate and verify your pricing before spending anything.

Open Settings → Import.

How it works

The importer reads the source plugin’s data where it is stored — options, user meta, post meta and custom post types — so:

• the source plugin does not need to be active,
• nothing is ever written back to it,
• deactivating B2B Suite and reactivating the old plugin is a working rollback.

Dry run first

Every import runs as a preview by default. It shows the groups, customers and rules it would create, plus a warning for every source record it cannot map. Nothing is written until you confirm.

Running it twice is safe

The importer records a map of source id to created id. Running it again updates the same records instead of creating duplicates — useful when you import, keep selling on the old plugin for a week, then re-import before the switchover.

What comes across

From B2BKing: customer groups, each user’s group assignment, their account approval state, and price rules whose type and target have a direct equivalent (percentage, fixed amount, fixed price).

From Wholesale Suite: registered wholesale roles become customer groups, users in those roles become group members, and each per-role wholesale price becomes a fixed-price product rule.

After importing

1. Run Check a price on a product whose trade price you know, and read the trail.
2. Use view as customer to confirm the shop, cart and checkout agree.
3. Read the warnings list and re-create anything that could not be mapped.

Note that the free plugin includes one customer group. A store with several groups should run the import with Pro active so every group comes across — the dry run will tell you how many were found either way.
